Driving used to be fun. Cruising for chicks in high school, road-tripping in college, heading up to the mountains for a weekend. But somewhere along the way — between the traffic and the road rage or the accidents and the insurance premiums — driving lost its appeal.

Thankfully, Denver’s a great city to live in without a car. To prove it to yourself, why not sign up for the second annual DriveLessDenver and get rewarded for keeping your keys out of the ignition in May? Those who promise to leave their ride parked for the entire month have until 5 p.m. today to sign up for the Gold Level (limited to fifty participants); in return, they’ll get a goodie bag of shwag ranging from a free local RTD month-long pass to a bicycle map of the city. Silver Level registration will remain open until the program is filled.
