To Phish at Folsom Field in Boulder, or at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City? Last year, that was the question. But now we have the ultimate answer.
Phish had played an annual three-day run at Dick’s since 2011, with the exception of 2020 (for obvious reasons). But in 2025, the band tried ia new venue: Folsom Field at the University of Colorado, ending a 42-show streak at Dick’s. It also departed from its usual Labor Day weekend run in favor of Fourth of July weekend.
Although the band had played more than 100 shows in Colorado since 1988, these marked its first shows back in Boulder since Phish’s 1993 performance at the Balch Fieldhouse.
Some fans loved the change from Dick’s, celebrating higher-quality sound and the stadium experience at Folsom. Others hated it, lamenting the lack of a “Shakedown Street” parking-lot party, camping options and the Dick’s festival feel.
What it came down to was this: Do you value a higher-production event with better amenities, improved accessibility and that Boulder je ne sais quoi? Or a gritty, immersive experience on the plains of Commerce City?
It seems the latter won out.
The announcement came on February 18: In 2026, Phish will return to Dick’s over Labor Day weekend. Presale for “Summer Tour ’26” begins Friday, February 27, at 10 a.m. EST, 8 a.m. MST.
Bye-bye, Boulder.
The tour also includes a two-night stand at Boston’s Fenway Park from July 31-August 1 and five shows at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on July 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29.
