Life can come at you pretty fast, so sometimes it’s nice to slow down, enjoy a leisurely stroll and experience life at 3mph. Today you have the opportunity to do just that by joining Walk2Connect Founder Jonathon Stalls for a northeast Park Hill walking tour that stretches from the Garden/Love, Peace, & Sol Cafe, to Mountain Fresh Market, to the new Dahlia Campus for Health & Well-Being, and through Axum Park.

Walk2Connect was launched in 2012, shortly after Stalls completed the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain and an eight-and-a-half-month, 3,030-mile walk across the United States. The Colorado-based social enterprise works to raise awareness and promote walking not only as a mode of transportation but also a healthy lifestyle, through community-focused walking trips, neighborhood walkability education and more. Walk2connect holds twenty to forty walkabouts along the Front Range each week; last year the group led over 877 walking trips.

Today’s tour through Park Hill will end back at Love, Peace, & Sol Cafe for a vegan comfort-food lunch. Interested in joining the walkabout? Meet at the Garden on East 35th Avenue and Albion Street by 10:30 a.m. with $15 cash in hand. Get all the details and learn more about the Walking Movement at walk2connect.com.
