Robert Clarke, the victim of Mile High Murder No. 54 last month, was located in an alley near 3356 Blake Street, while Cheriece Knox, slain in Mile High Murder No. 55, was found in an alley between the 4300 blocks of York and Josephine.

Then, yesterday, only a few hours after Denver Police personnel discovered a body by railroad tracks near the 5000 block of Fillmore in Mile High Murder No. 57, they were called to the alley near the 2200 block of Emerson and Clarkson, an area captured in the graphic above (if you have problems seeing the image, click “View Larger Map”). There, a body awaited. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

The information the DPD is releasing to date can be found below.

On Sunday, December 13, 2009 at approximately 3:34 p.m. Denver Police Officers responded to the 2200 block Clarkson / Emerson alley on a report of a body found in a recycling bin by a resident neighbor. Officers confirmed that a male body was inside the bin. The Denver Police Department is currently investigating this incident as a homicide. The identity of the victim remains unknown and the cause of death still undetermined at this time pending the results from the office of the Denver Medical Examiner.
