It’s International Coffee Day and businesses all over Denver are celebrating by offering a deals and dishes. For starters, local Dunkin’ Donuts outlets are offering guests at all Dunkin’ Donuts a free medium hot or iced dark roast coffee today. Additional restaurants like Tamayo, ViewHouse and Habit Doughnuts will be serving up coffee-inspired fare. If coffee doesn’t do it for yo
u, maybe wine will.
This evening there’s a duo of wine dinners to choose from, and there’s also a gluten-free special at Lower48.
Acorn, the award-winning restaurant in RiNo, will host winemaker Ehren Jordan, of Failla Winery, at a wine dinner starting at 6:30 p.m.; tickets are $75. Make your reservations by calling Acorn at 720-542-3721.
Up in Boulder, Arugula chefs Alec Schuler and Sven Hedenas have created a five-course menu that will showcase the wines of the Loire River Valley as well as Colorado’s fall bounty; it will be paired with five wines that range from the upper reaches of the river in Sancerre to the Atlantic coast in Fiefs Vendèems.
