Two nearby spots in northwest Denver are offering diametrically opposed cold-weather deals.
At Rosa Linda’s Mexican Cafe, 2005 West 33rd Avenue, Rosa Linda Aguirre has decided to fight the cold by making homemade chicken soup — and the rest of the family is volunteering to deliver your meal to you, today and tomorrow only. There’s a $20 minimum order for delivery; the soup itself is $6.95. For more info, call 303-455-0608.
And just down the hill, Little Man Ice Cream, 2620 16th Street, is offering a “pink-cheek pint” special: $1 pints of ice cream for anyone who wants to eat the stuff in sub-zero temperatures.Call ahead to reserve your pints at 303-455-3811; limit two pints per family. And if the thought of ice cream leaves you cold, Little Man always has a couple of kinds of soup cooking in the winter.
