Update, 6:52 a.m., March 15, 2010: The Denver Police Department has named Heber Santiago Godoy the number one most wanted fugitive in the city — and, perhaps, settled on the spelling of his name. Look below for our original item, published in June, which now features a new insert.
Following the May 29 murder of a security guard at the El Chapparal night club, 2727 W. 6th Avenue, the Denver Police Department arrested and later released a suspect named David Cano-Rivera. However, the DPD continues to seek another person in relation to the crime — although the department is now spelling his name, and the name of the victim, differently. The guard, previously identified as Alfredo Gonzalez-Ramos, is called Alfred Gonzales in the latest release, and the man being sought in his death, who was labeled Heber Santiago Godoy, is now Herber Santiago Godoy — and, as of March 16, 2010, is being identified as Heber Godoy, sans the Santiago. A reward is being offered for information leading to Godoy’s arrest. After the jump, see a graphic of the area where the murder took place (if you have problems seeing the image, click “View Larger Map”) and the aforementioned DPD press release.
