Yesterday marked the three-year anniversary of our Mile High Murder archive — and on that day, the first murder in year four took place.
The victim was the owner of a store on East 64th, who died in what appears to be a robbery attempt.
At this point in the investigation, the details are few. As noted by 7News, Commerce City Police responded to multiple 911 calls about a shooting at around 4 p.m. yesterday. The information led officers to 5908 East 64th Avenue, the location of Joyeria Alondra, which sells a slew of goods, ranging from jewelry to insurance.
Shortly thereafter, the owner was rushed to Denver Health, where he died.
