If you’re looking for an undead-killing experience that’s a little more visceral than shooting zombies in video games, a trip to Anderson Farms for a Zombie Paintball Hunt may be in order. You’ll jump on a wagon with a handful of other would-be ghoul slayers, grab one of the mounted paintball guns and prepare to shoot some walking-dead scum. A mix of actors portraying zombies, mechanical undead and a few static targets will make sure you don’t run out of things to unload on. It’s a zombie-apocalypse prepper’s best chance to participate in a live-fire exercise.
“There’s lots of stuff to shoot at,” promises Anderson operations manager Rachelle Wegele. “It’s a good chance to practice for that day.”
Anderson Farms supplies all the equipment, so no gear is necessary (or allowed), and it’s even wheelchair-accessible, because everyone should get a chance to de-animate the living dead. The slaughter happens on weekend nights through November 2 at Anderson Farms, 6728 County Road 3-1/4 in Erie.
