Walter White’s final stand is at hand. For five and a half seasons, the chemistry-teacher-turned-meth-kingpin has built his empire, and now, in its final eight episodes, Breaking Bad is going to chronicle it all falling down. And if you can’t stand to watch the final days of the ultimate anti-hero alone, then head to the Sidewinder Tavern, which, along with hosting a weekly viewing of the show, will cater to Breaking Bad fans with themed drink specials.
“We actually got a bunch of cool stuff to do the specials,” says bar manager Sufi Stevens. “We’ve got little beakers and test tubes; it’s going to be pretty cool. We’re going to do some blue rock candy and get some dry ice, too.” Throw in a few food specials and a bar full of fellow fans — “We all really love Breaking Bad,” Stevens promises — and you have a great place to enjoy the roller-coaster ride of these final eight episodes.
Get started tonight at 7 p.m. at the Sidewinder, 4485 Logan Street; admission is free. For more info, visit tiny.cc/BBSidewinder.
Sundays, 7 p.m. Starts: Aug. 11. Continues through Sept. 29, 2013
