Today, we checked in with Denver Police Department spokesman Sonny Jackson regarding the whereabouts of Crisanto Tirso-Jiminez, 35, who’s wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of Elia Anastacio.
According to Jackson, Tirso-Jiminez remains at large — and he’s thought to be hiding south of the border.
The crime took place on December 16, when detectives in the DPD homicide unit were called to a residence at 1625 Clarkson Street. There, they found Anastacio, age 43, with multiple stab wounds to her neck.
Before long, a first-degree murder warrant was issued in Tirso-Jiminez’s name. But in the two-and-a-half weeks or so that have passed since then, he has evaded arrest. The cops believe he’s laying low in Mexico, but Jackson stressed that the manhunt is ongoing. He encourages anyone with info about his current locale to phone Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
