Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli closed its location at 833 Colorado Boulevard earlier this month — but if you’re a fan, fear not. Franchise owner Hugh Carlin is just moving the deli to a new location.

Steve Naples, Heidi’s founder, says the new Heidi’s on the corner of Colfax Avenue and Madison Street should be open by October 1.
Although the chain now boasts more than 35 stores nationwide — from Maine to California — the original Heidi’s at West 32nd Avenue and Lowell closed in late 2012. That space is now home to the Matador, a Tex-Mex chain based in Seattle.

The Colfax deli marks the newest Heidi’s since the opening of a test franchise in Jackson, Wyoming, which is offering higher-quality meats, dairy and breads, as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. The Colorado Boulevard deli had also been offering the new meats, from producers Plainville Farms, Fra’Mani Meats, and Pederson Farms, and will continue to do so at the Colfax location.
