If you’re intrigued by the unearthly, the inexplicable and the just plain weird, then you’ll find friends at the 2012 UFO Conference at the UFO Watchtower near the town of Hooper. For two days, enthusiasts of esoteric research will gather to hear speakers tackle topics ranging from Sasquatch sightings to alien abductions. “We have some excellent speakers to speak on the topics, and the thing is, they’re not all the same,” promises Judy Messoline, owner-operator of the UFO Watchtower. “No matter what kind of interest you might have in the phenomena, I think we can address them all.”
The lineup includes local experts such as Jason Cordova and Chuck Zukowski, as well as internationally known speakers, including abductee experts Stan and Lisa Romanek. And since it’s a camping event, there’s always the chance you’ll get to see some alien activity for yourself under the skies.
Speakers start today at 8:30 a.m. and continue through tomorrow at the UFO Watchtower, just north of Hooper on Highway 17. Tickets are $25, plus $10 a night if you wish to camp, and must be purchased in advance by calling 719-378-2296. For more info, including a full schedule and map, visit www.ufowatchtower.com.
