Larkburger, a chain of artisan burger joints founded by chef Thomas Salamunovich in Edwards in 2006, will open its ninth Colorado store today at 8555 West Belleview Avenue in Littleton. “We’re very excited to bring Larkburger to Littleton,” said Adam Baker, president of Larkburger, in announcing the opening. “It’s an outstanding community and we’re looking forward to welcoming our new neighbors into the restaurant.” See also: – Thomas Salamunovich, exec chef of Larkspur (and Larkburger) on farm-to-table fatigue – The winning Denver Burger Battle burger is now at a Larkburger near you
After Salamunovich, the owner-chef of Larkspur in Vail, decided the area needed a great burger joint, too, his concept proved so popular that it came down from the hills and started adding locations in metro Denver at an average of one a year. A Larkburger opened this summer in Northglenn; downtown is slated to get a Larkburger before the end of November.
The Littleton store will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
