I totally can’t get enough summer clothes. It’s the season when one should try things — little things like wispy tank tops and breezy tissue linen camp shirts and sandals — incessantly, grabbing them off hangers or pulling them from shelves and throwing them wildly about the closet until somehow the right ensemble for a backyard barbecue comes together.
I don’t know about you, but in the summer, I rely heavily on throwaway second-hand garb that’s cheap, trendy and easy to send back to the thrift store when the season is over. And, if I’m able to find a piece that I really, really love, I can keep it for next year. That’s the beauty of it.
That’s why I’m hitting my local Arc Thrift Store, where all summer T-shirts, tanks and shorts, including thousands of back-stocked items, are going for only 99 cents a piece, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. Yeow! I’m on it. Are you? Find the closest store at www.ArcThrift.org.
