In honor of the US’s best World Cup soccer performance in, well, ever, Weezer has weighed in with “Represent,” the unofficial US soccer anthem. Don’t get too excited though — there are no vuvuzela solos in the song. Instead you get a somewhat forgettable tune — pounding drums, big riffs and kinda dumb lyrics.
But hey, that’s that’s pretty standard for Weezer these days! And besides, it’s a soccer anthem! Sports songs aren’t supposed to be smart or anything. So turn it up, pump your fist and add your own vuvuzela solo. World Cup fever: Catch it! USA! USA! USA!
