If you like your holiday shows with a liberal dose of fabulousness, then you’re going to just love tonight’s third annual Holy Shit It’s Christmas program, dahling.
“It’s just a typical drag show,” demurs diva Jasmine Rice — who, along with the Ladies of the Lake and other assorted special guests, will strut the stage. “We have a variety of songs,” Rice explains. There will be holiday songs to help viewers get in the spirit, but they’ll be mixed in with the usual booty-shakin’ tunes eve-ryone expects from drag queens.
And the divas are definitely shaking things up this year: Instead of an auction, which was de rigueur in previous programs, they’re offering a raffle with an array of prizes that will help you and your home become more fabulous than ever before. “We have numerous different things,” notes Rice. “A gift certificate for mas-sage, hair-salon certificate, basket of wine, posters, pictures from the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.”
Admission to the evening is free; proceeds from the raffle will benefit The Center. It all happens at Club M at Hamburger Mary’s, 700 East 17th Avenue; doors open at 8 p.m., and the show starts at 9. Visit www.hamburgermarysdenver.com or call 303-832-1333.
