Curt Sims will open Cantina today in the building he owns at 1109 Lincoln Street, most recently the home of the Hive. The restaurant hosted a soft opening last night and, despite some last-minute renovations to the space, promises to be open at 5 p.m.

Sims owns this building; he ran the Denver Buffalo Company here and, more recently, Cielo. But that’s not the only proof that he knows how to do Mexican: Sims and his wife, Pam, also own Lime.
The new restaurant will focus on Tex-Mex cuisine, including “Texas-inspired, Texas-sized Super Tacos.” Cantina will also offer build-your-own tacos, burritos and burgers. Call 303-832-1109 or visit the website for more information.
