What do World War II and the Cold War have to do with Boulder? Quite a bit, if you listen to Keith Gleason, manager of the Sommers-Bausch Observatory at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Gleason will explain it all tonight and tomorrow night in “Sputnik & the Space Age in Boulder, CO,” a talk at Fiske Planetarium on the CU-Boulder campus. The lecture starts at 7:30 p.m.; admission tonight is $3.50 to $6 for the general public and free for high-school, community-college and university students and staff (regular admission rates apply tomorrow night).
