The annual Salsa Central Denver fiesta — the Red & White Salsa Ball — has grown too hot for the Mercury Cafe to handle; this year, the party had to move to the Doubletree Hotel at 3203 Quebec Street.
That just means more room to maneuver during the salsa lesson, where you can nibble at the dessert bar and learn to spice up the dance floor like a champ. Speaking of which, the Latin show features fully costumed couples with professional routines. “They’re all national champions, and most of them have placed in international competition,” says Salsa Central’s Rachel Bryant. Olé!
