Master baker and cake decorator Buddy Valastro, confectioner extraordinaire of TLC’s Cake Boss, brings his animated shtick to the Paramount Theatre tonight for a live, interactive show-and-tell demonstration that will pimp his mad talents and techniques; his masterpieces make Martha Stewart’s sugar highs droop in defeat. The performance, part of a seventeen-city “Bakin’ With the Boss Tour,” coincides with Valastro’s first book release, Stories and Recipes From Mia Famiglia.
Valastro hits the stage at 7:30 p.m., and audience members — those who won’t sink a cake — will have the opportunity to partake in the frivolity. “The best part about these shows is seeing all the fans. It’s an amazing experience when I walk into the venue and hear screaming fans, and it’s so great being able to interact with everyone — young, old, mom, dad and everyone in between,” says Valastro, a fourth-generation baker whose family also owns Carlo’s City Hall Bake Shop in New Jersey. He’ll also answer questions, share the inside scoop behind his popular TV series, and create on-the-fly designs based on suggestions from spectators. The Paramount is at 1621 Glenarm Place; tickets are $29.50, $39.50, and $49.50. Get yours at www.tickethorse.com or 866-461-6556.
