Breckenridge Creative Arts: DÃa de los Muertos Celebration

Breckenridge Arts District Campus
It’s been a busy DÃa de los Muertos weekend in the Breckenridge Arts District. Recuerdos: Weaving the Dream, a display of art and altars by Cal Duran, Arlette Lucero and the late Stevon Lucero, as well as an immersive art installation by Adrian Marban, are on view all weekend in BreckCreate’s 1975 Airstream trailer. Hands-on workshops, Aztec dance performances, artist demonstrations and a DÃa de los Muertos market go nonstop. Events are free; learn more here.
Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch
Sunday, October 16, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Stanley Marketplace, 2401 Dallas Street, Aurora
Stanley Marketplace will cater to families at the free Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch on the venue’s West Lawn. It’s costume-optional, but there will be a contest with prizes in four categories: adult costume, kid’s costume, family collaboration and pet costume. Beyond that challenge, there will be fall games, face painting for kiddos, vendor booths, raffle prizes and the ever-important pumpkin patch, where families can choose the perfect future jack-o’-lantern. A Spooky Vintage Market

HQ Denver, 60 South Broadway
Hangin’ N Slangin’ and HQ Denver make a good team, and they’ll make the most of their partnership at a free, Halloween-flavored Sunday-afternoon vintage market. Here’s what you’ll find there: nine cool vendors, a DJ courtesy of Snarf Vintage, Japanese fusion bowls by Umai Express and a costume contest. Come dressed for the occasion! Doors Open Denver

Doors Open Denver ends its run today, with eight new virtual tours as well as virtual tours archived from DOD 2020 and 2021 that you can watch for free on the Denver Architecture Foundation website. The new virtual tours include looks at Eugene Groves’s Nordlund House, J. Roger Musick’s Bitman-Hower House, Watkins Stained Glass, the United States Air Force Academy, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, Historic Elitch Theatre and the Howard Berkeley Park Chapel.
