It’s the last weekend of October, and you’ll go out of your gourd with all the free entertainment options — events both serious and silly — as we head into Halloween.

Doggie Howl-o-Ween
Sunday, October 30, 5 to 8 p.m.
Denver Beer Co., 1695 Platte Street and two other locations
Denver Beer Co.’s annual Howl-o-Ween costume contest is back at all three DBC taprooms. Dress up your pup (and yourself) and get ready for a doggone scary good time. It’s free to enter the contest (but you’ll want to buy yourself some beers. Get details here.

Drag Me to Hell: a Celebration of Dance, Music and Art
Sunday, October 30, 9 p.m.
Beacon, 2854 Larimer Street

RiNo’s Halloweekend continues with drag performances by Ximena Latinx and LeeLee LaBeija & Company from 9 to 10 p.m., followed by DJ sets from Sasha Khat and Chris Cauldron, with pop-up performances throughout the night. And there will be a few vendors as well. Admission is free if you’re wearing a costume; otherwise, there’s a $10 cover. Find out more here.

Five Points Great Pumpkin
Monday, October 31, 4 to 7 p.m.
Stout Street Children’s Park, 2501 Stout Street

The Five Points BID and Curtis Park Neighbors join together in bringing two free evenings of the annual Five Points Great Pumpkin children’s Halloween celebration. On Saturday along the Welton corridor, kids are invited to trick-or-treat at participating businesses between 22nd and 30th streets until 6 p.m.; afterward, everyone will gather at Soul Street on Clarkson, at 26th Street, for a costume contest and a “Thriller” performance by Cleo Parker Robinson Dance. On Monday, the fun moves to Stout Street Children’s Park for Halloween games, carriage rides, a trick-or-treat street and a haunted graveyard. Find details here.
