Project Angel Heart

Where are you eating dinner today? What about happy hour? And isn’t it time to treat yourself to a long lunch?
Today, April 24, is Dining Out for Life, back for its 31st year. When you patronize a participating restaurant — whether for breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner or takeout — 25 percent of your check will be donated to Project Angel Heart, a nonprofit that provides medically tailored meals for Coloradans living with severe illnesses, including HIV/AIDS. That was the major focus when the nonprofit started thirty years ago, but it’s since expanded its scope in both service and geography.
More than a hundred restaurants are participating this year; check the list on the Project Angel Heart website…and then get out and eat!
Will you step up to support Westword this year?
We’re aiming to raise $50,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to this community. If Westword matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
